Occupy Wall Street (OWS) and Astrology

How Many Turkeys Does It Take To Screw Up An Economy?
Introduction:
In my earlier article: “The Power of the Eclipse – Astrology Predicts Social Upheavals and Events.” (see links box below to jump to that article) I discussed how Eclipses can sometimes mark powerful social change and events. In that article I tracked three historical events and the eclipses that occurred during the same time period.
It’s coming again!
I am sorry to say, things are not looking good in the U.S. in late 2011, although, in the end we will achieve genuine social progress. The stars are telling me the story of what is to come, and the most I can say is “Hang on, it’s going to be a bumpy ride!”
This Thanksgiving time, and beyond, we are going to see some major social calls for change in the U.S., change that was promised but not delivered, and change that is LONG overdue.
The Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement, whatever you think of it, is going to get some powerful energy from the stars.
Occupy Wall Street and Astrology – Eclipses and Current Events
Those pesky eclipses are back again, and this time, they are going to affect the population of the U.S. directly because of the Occupy Wall Street protests and demonstrations.
OWS is not the same as the corporate fat cat engineered Tea Party and their unfortunate followers who are currently making insatiable demands in Congress and blocking progress. This is a true grass roots movement with almost no political power in Washington, but a lot of popular power among the people themselves. The majority of Americans polled about the OWS movement support the principles of what the protester are trying to accomplish.
From what I can understand, OWS is a group of loosely organized people who are angry and fed up because they have been economically pushed to the brink and are NOT getting relief from the government that is supposed to represent them.
The Occupy Wall Street movement got going around September 17th, 2011. Now look at the eclipses for this time period:
- November 25th 2011 - partial polar solar eclipse
- December 10 2011 - full lunar eclipse
As we have seen from history, sometimes eclipses align with powerful social events and changes. So it can be very helpful to use Astrology to be aware when a powerful eclipse of the Sun or Moon may herald social upheaval and change.
The current upcoming eclipses are doing just that!
Astrologically, the solar eclipse is in Sagittarius, and we have something unique going on here. Both the Sun and the Moon are going to experience an eclipse in what is astrologically a very close time period. In addition to that, we have the influence of the planets,
- Mars
- Mercury
- Venus
which are coming into alignment with the Sun and Moon at the same time. They are 45 degrees from each other and they are supporting and amplifying the effects of the eclipses. We have FIVE planets all lining up! (The Sun and Moon count as planets in Astrology).
Although the Occupy Wall Street protests seem to have no “leaders”, there are people working to keep order and schedule events. Four Astrological signs dominate these folks, and they are powerful!
- Sagittarius
- Gemini
- Virgo
- Pisces
will be the leaders in the demonstrations. They represent 33% of signs of the zodiac (there are 12 signs, so each one represents 8.3%). And here is what people in these signs bring to the “table”:
Sagittarius represents the willpower, the fire to get started. They represent the opening doors for opportunities and demand the facts.
Gemini demands two things at once. An air sign -- they won’t take any bull -- and they will feel and say we can do both things at the same time -- manage congress and the lobbyists. They are a thinking sign and take no bull.
Virgo represents Mother Earth and organization. These folks are important because they bring some reason to the mix. They think and feel: “Let’s get it right this time, we can do it, it’s the right thing to do”. Virgos make great mathematicians and getting the figures right, so trying to fool them with phony statistics and false poll numbers, etc. simply won’t work. They see right through it.
Pisces being a water sign, represents visionaries. These folks see opportunity for positive change and they have compassion for the people and their feelings in all this upheaval.
The other 8 signs are in favor of these four and will follow -- because they believe in the goals and the purpose of what Occupy Wall Street is trying to do.
My Predictions for The End of 2011
There are two groups of people, besides the fat cats on Wall Street, who need to be very careful during this time,
- the politicians
- the lobbyists
The Lobbyists
Although the lobbyists may seem to be invulnerable and hidden, their secrets will come out. People know they own too many politicians. And too many politicians are more concerned with being re-elected than working for their constituents. Thus they follow the lobbyists, not the people.
I see a time of danger and caution for them. The lobbyists, who have been out of control, better watch their backs. The people are getting on to them, and they will become a focus of their anger.
The Politicians
Elections will out the bad ones. The truth will come out and no amount of bull is going to help the most corrupt and greedy of them.
But before the elections, there will be plenty of complaints and increasing stress and pressure from the people. Politicians must make a choice between the will of the people and their fear of not being re-elected unless they follow the lobbyists.
I also see, unfortunately, that the stress of all this unrest is going to take a physical toll on one well known politician. There’s no other way to say it, but someone (I can’t say who) is going to succumb to the stress and suffer a heart attack. I don’t know the outcome of this exactly, but the cause is the political and social stress, something that can be avoided if only Congress work together and will act in the people’s favor!
In addition to this, I see more stubbornness, more attempts to distract people, and more arguments in Washington, with plenty of name calling and finger pointing that is not going to distract people anymore, it is going to anger them. It’s not a good idea because of the planets involved in this astrological time.
The Influence of the Planets
The stars won’t help us out this time because of the influence of the Sun and Moon and aligned planets.
The Sun is the fire energy and the Moon represents the emotions -- so this is fire and emotions – and emotions are on fire!
It means people need to be cautious and try to calm down because, in addition to the social drivers of the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations, there are karmic and astrological influences at work from three other planets, making for a very tough mix.
Mercury represents children, teenagers, the college students. These young people will demonstrate strongly against Wall Street, as they will against congress and the lobbyists. Any elected official should be worried, college students have the VOTE, and they aren’t going to be fooled again! The College vote can cast them out.
Mars represents conflict, and we’re just going to see more of this unless those responsible for the anger and frustration that instigated Occupy Wall Street actually do something constructive and start working on solving the economic crisis in a meaningful way. Otherwise the warrior aspect of Mars will be free to fight, which is something to be taken very seriously.
Venus, usually a peaceful planet, is not much help because it is also the planet of emotion, and when emotions run high -- and Mars is in the mix -- those emotions can easily and quickly turn to anger, something Mars energy thrives upon. Sop Venus can support the Mars energy instead of help instill peace.
This is all going to start to focus around the Thanksgiving Holiday. Rather than calm people down, this year, I see Thanksgiving as a reminder of what could have been, but hasn’t -- and people, especially students who are on break, will join the demonstrations and add to the energy already building there.
Things do not look good and we’ve already seen a preview with the police and protester conflict in Oakland, California. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Socially, the problem lies in the following issues, among others:
- People are angry because of their economic and job losses.
- The Congress is doing nothing but fighting among themselves and trying to get sound bites and news coverage.
- State and City governments are putting pressure on protesters, adding to the sense of government oppression.
- There seems to be no answer in sight.
You know, it’s not just young people out there in the demonstrations! They are being joined by “older people”, people in their mid twenties, thirties all the way to seniors. This problem has gotten under everybody’s skin. This is becoming a REAL representative movement of the real majority of Americans.
Now normally, American are a pretty reasonable bunch. We can be very tolerant, and generous, forgiving and loving. But we also take pride in our liberty, our justice, our rights. When we see them being trampled and ignored, we stop being sheep and we start getting active!
The people today have the most powerful tool ever invented to find facts and communicate, the Internet. Social networks are abuzz with conversations, knowledge of events is almost instantaneous.
I want this Thanksgiving to be a time of rest and reflection on the blessings we still have in this country. But the way things are going, I am fearful for so many people, the demonstrators, the police, the politicians, and yes, even the lobbyists and members of the corporations that got us into this mess and are stubbornly holding to their profit as the bottom line over the people who are their customers.
My best advice is to be aware of the influence of the planets and the signs of the zodiac, and try and stay calm.
- Think twice before acting, and act out of reason rather than emotion.
- Try to have compassion instead of conflict and try to envision a brighter future, which we can STILL HAVE.
- Use peaceful and legal means to make your voice heard and be part of the solution instead of the problem.
- Use the Internet to tell your congressional representatives what you want and how you feel, but be polite and respectful when doing so.
- Most of all, keep up, however you can, a sense of the positive. Be courteous and polite to others, and count to ten before shooting your mouth off!
- Think for yourself after you get all the facts. Don’t let others tell you how to think or what to do without considering it carefully.
I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, in spite of what I see in the stars, because, I also see hope.

Very interesting article! I had heard that eclipses were often considered omens (both good and bad) and it is nice to see this tied to current events! The astrological descriptions make sense for what you are predicting. I most like the positive spin you put at the end with your "can do" suggestions. Thanks for this interesting article. I'm off to read your one on Eclipses in general!

Thanks for your comment, ClydeSight. I try to see the good in everything, after all, what is the point is "doom and gloom". I always like a happy ending.
